Get ready for an intense team-based Tekken showdown at the Malta Gaming Expo! This tournament follows a structured First to 2 (FT2) match format, mirroring the Tekken World Tour (TWT) conditions.
Tournament Format:
-
Teams will compete in a structured format where each team member plays against their corresponding opponent:
1️⃣ Low seed player vs. Low seed player
2️⃣ High seed player vs. High seed player
3️⃣ Coach’s chosen player vs. Coach’s chosen player -
Winners progress to the next stage:
- Low seed winner vs. High seed winner
- The remaining coach’s pick faces off against the high seed and the other team's coach’s pick in back-to-back matches.
Walk-In Players & Fighters’ Academy:
- Walk-in players can join through a 1-hour ladder challenge.
- The top 4 players from the ladder will qualify to join the Fighters’ Academy.
- Coaches will assign walk-in players to teams based on past season or tournament results (priority given to last season).
- Walk-in players will be added to teams based on performance, with weaker teams getting stronger additions.
Elimination & Special Matches:
- Elimination: Once a player loses, they are out of the session and will follow their coach’s guidance.
- Double KO Rule: If no winner is declared, players will rematch until a winner is determined.
- Final Boss Challenge:
- When an entire team is eliminated, they may face a Final Boss if available.
- The Final Bosses are: Biohazard, Bahhar, and Absolutely Zero.
- The winning team gets to choose whether to take on the Final Boss.
- Final Boss matches are First to 5 (FT5). The boss cannot change their character after winning, while the team must rotate players after every loss.
Scoring System & Ranking:
🏆 How the Winner is Determined:
- Team Score: (Matches won - Matches lost)
- Set Score: (If Team Scores are tied, individual set results are considered.)
